CEREC One-Visit Crowns
CEREC (CEramic REConstruction) is a breakthrough 3-D imaging and milling technology that allows Dr. Vashi to create well-fitted, color-matched permanent crowns out of durable, high-grade porcelain. This is done in one visit, requiring no temporaries.
Dr. Vashi is very experienced in the use of CEREC technology, and is the only dentist in South Pasadena and San Marino offering same-day permanent crowns.
Dr. Vashi uses CEREC to carefully configure a crown for a patient.
Dr. Vashi takes a 3-dimensional photo of your tooth. Then his computer system analyzes your mouth structure to determine the best shape and dimensions for your new crown, inlay or onlay.
CEREC restorations are milled from a single block of high-quality ceramic, a substance which is particularly compatible with the body and has the same characteristics as normal, healthy dental enamel.
The milling process takes 4 to 6 minutes depending on the size of the replacement tooth. Once the restoration is created, Dr. Vashi bonds it into place and you leave the office with a beautiful, permanent crown.
