Dr. A. J. Vashi provides friendly, knowledgeable and gentle dentisty for the whole family, from our convenient South Pasadena location.
As well as gneral dentistry, Dr. Vashi provides expert services in Cosmetic, Implant and One-Visit Dentistry. We are the only dental office in South Pasadena providing one-visit porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays (restorations for cavities) and even dental implants, using our in-office computer-controlled laboratory. Dr. Vashi's extensive training and experience in cosmetic dentistry ensures that your smile make-over is picture-perfect and that you can smile with confidence!
Meet Dr. A.J. Vashi
Ashish J. Vashi, D.D.S.
For experienced, friendly dental treatment, you will find no one better than Dr. A.J. Vashi. Dr. Vashi is a strong believer in dental education for himself, his team, the community and his fellow dentists. In addition to dental school, Dr. Vashi has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, primarily in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry.
He is committed to continually upgrading his skills, and utilizing the latest techniques and advancements in all aspects of dentistry.
Education
Dr. Vashi graduated from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley and earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego.
Affiliations
Dr. Vashi is the President of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society. He serves on their Board of Directors, and will become President in December, 2011. He has served on the faculty at the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Dr. Vashi is active in the community and has organized free dental screenings for children in low income neighborhoods as part of the Give Kids A Smile program. He has also facilitated lectures for recent dental school graduates.

Community Work and Awards
Dr. Vashi is a proud participant in Give Kids A Smile, a nationwide effort to provide underserved children with free, comprehensive dental care. The Give Kids A Smile organization works to eliminate the silent epidemic of dental disease for the millions of children who cannot sleep, eat properly, pay attention in school, or simply smile.
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Vashi LOVES sports. He is a die-hard Lakers fan who is VERY proud that they have returned to their winning ways. He loves spending time with his family and also tries to meet up with old friends, and make new ones, whenever he gets a chance.
Dr. Vashis was fortunate enough to attend the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He loves to travel and is hoping to visit South America in 2011.

Meet the Team
Claudia, RDA.
Claudia is our registered dental assistant. She has been working as an assistant for 7 years with our practice. Claudia earned her certification at Pasadena Community College, and takes many continuing education courses every year, to constantly update her skills. She is the mother of two beautiful girls. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Tara, RDH.
Tara received her hygiene training at the University of Southern California -School of Dentistry. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from CSUSB. She attends many continuing education classes yearly to constantly update her knowledge. She has been with the practice for over 5 years. Away from the office, Tara enjoys visiting new places, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.
Alexandria is our registered dental assistant. She graduated from Pasadena City College from their dental assisting program. She enjoys sports and the great outdoors in her free time.
